SEA and Cascais’s council hosted onced again the Cascais Streetball Festival

For the second time in less than one year, the Cascais Council and Sport Evolution Alliance got together to host the 2nd edition of the Cascais Streetball Festival, an event which is part of the United Through Urban Movement European project.

This second edition, which took place on 3 of September of 2022, in Alcabideche, Cascais, at the Ticha Penicheiro’s field tribute, was guided by the former national and Porto & Benfica basketball player, Carlos Andrade.On September 3, 2022, Sport Evolution Alliance, with the support of Cascais City Council (CMC), held the Cascais Streetball Festival 2nd Edition. The event, which consisted of a 3×3 Basketball workshop and tournament, was immensely successful like the first edition that took place in November 2021.For this event, CMC provided the facilities of the field in honor of Ticha Penicheiro, the best Portuguese basketball player who played in the WNBA located in Alcabideche, Cascais.The Cascais Streetball Festival was free and had the participation of children, youth and adults. It was given by Carlos Andrade, former’s national team and Benfica & Porto basketball player, who divided the event into two parts: The first was a Workshop in which everyone present learned more about Streetball 3×3, benefiting from the speaker’s magnificent experience. The second part was characterized by a lot of fun with the realization of a competition in which the healthy competitive spirit was constant.The event had the participation of almost three dozen players, female and male.
